@NM: I love Matthew Barney, I've been trying to write a piece on him for a while but having trouble fitting it into a post less than a million words. His stuff is epic.
I am fortunate enough to have all 5 parts of The Cremaster Cycle thanks to a kind friend :) The first time i watched it so much went over my head.
With repeated viewing and online research i now realise how layered and multifaceted his work is. Despite what people say about him being a poster child for modern art, i admire his work ethic and focus.
I saw some of that cremaster cycle, i don't know about it. I don't get it. What is it? What is it supposed to be? Hmm? I like this picture though, i saw that sunset and this is a very accurate representation.

@Donal: Hehe you need to open your mind mister!! Cremaster requires a bit of work and research to scrape many layers away.
ReplyDeleteI'd say it's a fairly accurate representation alright....with it being a photo and all.Have they introduced cameras to cork yet :P
