I like my body when it is with your
body. It is so quite new a thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body. i like what it does,
i like its hows. i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones, and the trembling
-firm-smooth ness and which i will
again and again and again
kiss, i like kissing this and that of you,
i like, slowly stroking the, shocking fuzz
of your electric fur, and what-is-it comes
over parting flesh… And eyes big love-crumbs,

and possibly i like the thrill
of under me you so quite new

"...but you can't will yourself happy
you can't will your cunt wet
you can't keep standing at the station
pretending you're being met
you can't wear a sign that says 'yours'
when that ain't what you get

it flows and flows away from me
my love is a stream
your love is a vaudeville show
so charming and obscene
we both had our moments
we both had our fun
and then i hated to prove 'em all right
all those who said i'd run."

Object of Desire: Brian Atwood's 'Donna'

It's not often that i lust after a pair of shoes but the glossy sleek curves and subtle ribbon trim of the 'Donna' by Brian Atwood have provoked major materialistic longing.

Ten Days #4

Usually 500,000 people infiltrating downtown for the Celebration of Light fills me with dread. However i found a not so busy vantage point and had a blast this year stretching out on the grass with friends to watch the Vancouver skyline shimmer with fireworks.

Staying in a cliff side cottage that overlooked the Pacific and lounging in the hot tub watching the night sky pulsate with stars makes for one very relaxed weekend. I'm ridiculously lucky.

Discovering new breakfast joints where the pancakes weigh as much as a small child. Truly.
Two pancakes equal one heck of a food baby.

Walking on hot sand then wading through ice cold water.

My custom build from Jett Grrl came home and it was love at first spin. She's been christened 'Akira' and one of my new favourite things to do is take off on a three hour bike ride.

To hell, to hell with balance! I break glasses; I want to burn, even if I break myself. I want to live only for ecstasy. Nothing else affects me. Small doses, moderate loves, all half-shades, leave me cold. I like extravagance, heat. Letters which give the postman a stiff back to carry, books which overflow from their covers, sexuality which bursts the thermometer! I’m neurotic, perverted, destructive, fiery, dangerous - lava, inflammable, unrestrained."

Have you ever been outside?

My girl crush on Miranda July continues with the release of new self-written and directed film 'The Future'. Sophie (Miranda July) and Jason (Hamish Linklater) are two individuals entwined in a relationship despite the fact that for years they've managed to veer away from commitment and responsibility.

This and their perspective on life changes radically when they decide to adopt a stray cat. Doing so literally alters the course of time and tests their faith, in each other and individually. The story unfolds, narrated by Paw Paw the rescue cat and in typical July fashion, is a breathtakingly fearless portrait of the human condition. As with a lot of her work the mundane aspects of life become fascinating and something to delve deeper into.

Binat haLev

Tearing down seldom used roads in search of a red fir, bare feet planted on the dashboard, sun speckled faces with wind whipping through the window. Lying in warm water sending pungent smoke signals to the starry sky.
