All I Want For Christmas...

Ah Craigslist, a source of all things weird, wonderful and at times, illegal. If you have the room to accommodate a half ton wine rack, a spare $7,000 and the ability to transport it from its Phoenix, AZ location you can't go wrong with this masterpiece. Used transmission parts from auto mobiles and motorcycles were welded together to create a 6 foot high robot/transformer style sculpture which doubles as a wine rack.

The parts were dipped into a solution to neutralize and remove any oil, grime, or corrosive chemicals. The piece was painted gun metal grey and clear coated. It has blue LED lights that have been wired into the body along the leg, torso and the top of the shoulder.

This would make a great addition to my living room...whilst scaring the snot out of any animals/children that venture past my front door!

Object of Desire: Brian Atwood's 'Donna'

It's not often that i lust after a pair of shoes but the glossy sleek curves and subtle ribbon trim of the 'Donna' by Brian Atwood have provoked major materialistic longing.

Object of Desire: Ursidae

My apartment is probably the most sparsely furnished of anyone i know. Having to leave behind a house full of personal items, clothes, records, books and furniture when i left Ireland, i vowed to keep my purchases/hoarding tendencies in Canada in check. Although not one of the bear necessities (groan) in life, I've been eyeballing this beanbag from Chicsindesigndotcom as it's functional, comfortable and adorable. Want.

Linear

Over the years my list of style wants and obsession has varied hugely. However my love affair with the tuxedo is undiminished. Number one at the top of the list is Yves Saint laurent's 'Le Smoking'. I love how an item of clothing can be virile and feminine at the same time. Le Smoking was first shown in 1966 and although undergoing some slight changes each season, it has remained a staple in the YSL collection for over 40 years.
