Scintillation

Scintillation is an experimental short film by Xavier Chassaing. Utilising live projection mapping and stop motion to fuse together over 35,000 photographs, he has created a truly beautiful piece of work. I'd love to sit in a dark room with this projected onto a wall. The contrast of rich textures and sparking colours against inky backgrounds merges perfectly with the music of Fedaden. I can't wait to see some more of this talented gents work!

You find *the* most incredible things...

I know I hark back to Pipilotti Rist's installation at MOMA in New York in January, this reminds me of it in some way even though they're stylistically very different.

Maybe your want to see it in a room projected on a wall somewhere...

:-)

@Rick:
Why thank you kind sir,i've discovered some gems via your site as well :)

It just looks so different from anything I’ve seen before in terms of texture, technique and color. I'd love to see it projected onto a wall, preferably with large comfy beanbags nearby :P
